The Company
B.G. Bartholomew Furniture is a small company dedicated to producing high quality
handcrafted furniture that anyone would be proud to call a family heirloom. The
company was founded by Bruce Bartholomew, an electrical engineer by
profession who discovered creating fine furniture to be a rewarding pursuit.
The Furniture
Only the finest materials and construction techniques go into each piece of
furniture I build. American hardwoods such as cherry, walnut, oak and maple are the
traditional woods used by furniture craftsmen for centuries, and some of my favorite
materials. I minimize the use of composites such as plywood, reserving the use of
these materials only in rare instances where it makes structural sense to do so. Form
and function need to come together in a balance to create a memorable piece of furniture.
My furniture is meant to be used and admired and its built with these goals in
mind.
Custom Designs
All the pieces shown in this catalog can be ordered in whatever wood species you
prefer. Dimensions on all pieces are adjustable to suit your space and how you plan
to use the piece.
