Annual Fine Woodwork Show
and Silent Auction
The Guild hosts a Fine Woodwork Show and Silent Auction to showcase the work of Guild members and promote the craft of fine woodworking. For the past 20 years the show has been held at the Berkshire Botanical Garden in West Stockbridge Massachusetts and the most recent show was held on the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Typically, 20 Guild members will display their work ranging from household items to musical instruments, to fine furniture. A highlight of the event is a silent auction. Each member of the Guild donates an item to the silent auction and 100% of the proceeds go to our Scholarship Fund that awards scholarships to aspiring woodworkers. Donated items range from simple household items to fine furniture that can sell for thousands of dollars. During the show Guild members demonstrate various woodworking techniques such as tool sharpening, woodturning, wood finishing, chair making, etc. The show has gained in popularity with the 2022 show attracting over 1500 visitors and we look forward to equally successful shows in the future.
2023 Fine Woodworking Show and Silent Auction
Our 2023 Show was the best one yet!! With 22 Guild members and 3 former scholarship winners showing their work there was something for everyone to admire. In addition our woodworking demos were a big success educating attendees about different woodworking techniques. The popularity of our Show has grown over the years with around 2,500 people coming to the Show this year. And the Silent Auction to benefit our Scholarship Fund exceeded expectations bringing in over $25,000!! A great big thanks to all for your support!!

MEMBER MEETINGS
Guild members meet on a regular basis to discuss projects, tools, marketing and more. Meetings are
often centered around cabinetmaking skills, such as refinishing, curves and bends, and joinery.
HOLIDAY PARTY
Each year the Guild members have a chance to relax, enjoy each other’s company,
meet significant others and reflect on the ups and downs of the previous year. Great fun for all!!
