Book reviews:
"Your book is inspiring.... very clear and concise but comprehensive within the subject. And the elegant simplicity of the canoes. — Iain Oughtred
"We appreciate the logical progression of the text from material and tools… to building, skinning … finishing up. …a good bibliography… and a list of sources…"— Nim Marsh, Editor, Points East
"... step-by-step instructions guide the neophyte in the construction of these graceful and beautiful craft." — Matt Murphy, Editor, WoodenBoat Magazine
Hilary Russell ... has demonstrated , with admirable clarity ... how to build a vessel that combines beauty and practicality to a degree that is rarely achieved.— George Dyson, Author of Baidarka
"The helpful thing is that the author relates the instructions to actually using and caring for the canoe, so you always benefit from his experience both building the boats and using them" — Jo Moran, Water Craft [UK]
