Scholarship Application
We seek applicants who exhibit a strong, demonstrable determination to become professional woodworkers.
Preference is given to applicants applying to comprehensive woodworking programs that lead to certification or a degree in the profession, but in special cases may be given to applicants seeking professional development by attending specialized courses, conferences, classes, workshops and other events that meet the approval of the Guild’s scholarship review committee.
Applications should include photographs of up to five examples of your work. Historically this has played a major part in the committee’s decision process so be sure to submit them to joelmarkwood@gmail.com.

We will read applications beginning in early June. Winners will be notified by early July.
Scholarships currently range from $500 to $4,000 depending on need but may vary in the future.
The award is made after the applicant provides proof of enrollment in an approved program.
Scholarship awards must be used within a year of the date they are awarded.
