Scholarship Application
We seek applicants who exhibit a strong, demonstrable determination to become professional woodworkers.
Scholarships may be used to attend schools, conferences, classes, workshops and other events that meet the approval of the Guild’s scholarship review committee. In general, any program that contributes to the education of the applicant in the area of woodworking will qualify. Preference is given for long-term, continuous programs that lead to certification or a degree in the profession.

We will read applications beginning in early June. Winners will be notified by early July.
We encourage you to submit photographs of your work with your application. Submit them to joelmarkwood@gmail.com
Scholarships currently range from $500 to $4,000 depending on need but may vary in the future.
The award is made after the applicant provides proof of enrollment in an approved program.
Scholarship awards must be used within a year of the date they are awarded.
